Milestone has a School Nurse on site working 4 days per week. The Nurse will address any health care issues the pupil may have.

She is able to make home visits or meet with parents/guardians within school.

The Nurse has close links with the Paediatricians, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists at the Children’s Resource Centre, and can make medical and social referrals to meet your child’s needs, in consultation with parents.

Workshops are held twice a year on toilet training and constipation issues but feel free to contact the Nurse for individual support at any time during the year. Workshops are also held on sleep problems for pupils with special needs.

The PCT (Primary Care Trust) based at the Livingstone Hospital, are now responsible for providing continence products for all pupils over the age of 4 years.

Medicals are held at the school most months and there is a dietician clinic 3 monthly.

The Dental Screening Service are hoping to return yearly to assess pupils who may need dental care.
