It is the end of Term 3 and time for another blog about what Tudor Class have been learning.
In RE we looked at how people questioned whether there was a god and looked at different types of spirituality. We even did some yoga in the class. It was a bit difficult to do and stretch without wobbling.
In PSHE we learned how during the 60s and 70s people were discriminated against because of either the colour of their skin or what gender they were. Women often had different jobs and were treated unfairly. Black people were treated really badly.
In history we looked at the end of WW2 and the Cold War. We dropped eggs to show how Fat Man and Little Boy destroyed parts of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We learned the aeroplane was called Enola Gay and was named after the pilot’s mum and Sarah played us music from 80s called Enola Gay.
The school also got a new chef called Michael after the original chef Andy left.
We continue to go to New Ash Green Library (when the weather lets us) to get books to read like Middle School by James Patterson, Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney and Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey. I like going to the library.
We also celebrated Marcus Philpott’s birthday by eating Black Forest Gateau which we made in Cookery because it was really popular in the 1960s and 1970s.
I have had a good term and learned lots of things. We finished our history lesson last week learning the beginning of the Space Race and made our own little sputnik. I am excited that next term we will do more work on Space.
