Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
As we come to the end of our first week following the full return of Milestone Academy from Monday 8th March, I wanted to write to you to send sincere thanks from myself and our staff to all parents, carers and families who have collaborated with us to bring about this return. It has been wonderful to see the majority of our students back in school, both at main site and our satellite provisions.
I would also like to send my and our best wishes to any families that are still needing to shield or be at home due to COVID or any other reasons. We will continue to support with home learning via Google Classroom where this is required.
In the meantime, here are some points that I would respectfully ask readers to note:
- Voluntary home testing for secondary pupils
May I say how well the in-house testing has gone for those secondary pupils who opted to have the tests, huge well done to pupils and staff!
Further information will come out on Monday 15th March regarding how we will finish this in-school testing next week and then move to home testing.
- End of day pickups by parents and carers
Could I respectfully ask that, where possible, those driving onto main site to collect at the end of the day aim to arrive no earlier than 3:10pm on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays.
On Wednesday training days, please try to arrive no earlier than 2:10pm.
On all days, this will allow time for some of the taxis and buses to start to move off site to help to reduce congestion in the playground and surrounding roads.
In the meantime, may I wish everyone a restful and safe weekend, and we look forward to welcoming our pupils back again on Monday.
