Dear Parents, Carers and Families,
The updated Schools COVID-19 Operational Guidance was updated on 6th April and now states ‘In line with the roadmap, schools can resume educational day visits from 12 April’.
Over the next few weeks we may begin local community visits as part of the curriculum; any such visits will be conducted in line with relevant Coronavirus (COVID-19) secure guidelines and regulations in place at that time and will have a full and thorough risk assessment in place to ensure they can be undertaken safely, taking into consideration what control measures need to be used and follow wider advice on visiting indoor and outdoor venues.
Please could you complete the linked form: https://forms.gle/r6KEyjQkSmRLSfMx6 to indicate whether for the remainder of the academic year, you agree to your child accessing local visits within school hours and as part of the curriculum. Although consent is not required for such visits, due to the unique times we have been in and in the spirit of working together we feel it is appropriate to consult with families regarding such visits at present. As always, we will request signed consent for trips that:
- Need a higher level of risk assessment
- Are outside normal school hours
- Are for nursery aged children.
If at any time after completing the form you wish to change your decision to give or withdraw consent from local visits, please do email the school to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like a hard copy of the form, please contact the school office on the above email.
As stated in our previous communications, our daily procedures are subject to change at very short notice should Government or local guidance be revised. We will, of course, keep you informed should this occur.
