Students from Viking and Sparta Classes, as well as our Horticulture and Land-Based Studies students, were pleased today to welcome some very special visitors to Milestone Academy.
Following on from last year’s win in the Public Realm Competition, organised by Commissioner of the Public Realm, Councillor Roddy Hogarth (Sevenoaks District Council) with their “NAG is the Place to Bee!” video entry, Viking Class captured the imagination of JD O’Brien, along with Councillors Hogarth and Claire Nelson and the Kent Community Foundation.
Today, Milestone Academy students accepted a cheque for £6,000 to fund their project: the rewilding and planting of the public area outside of Milestone Academy, to make it into a more bee-friendly, bee-eautiful place.
