‘Design and Dash!’ – Milestone@DPA blazing a trail in Science Week

It has been a busy Module 4 for our students at Milestone@DPA. Members of Nova Class took part in a KSENT competition for Science Week, which saw them designing, making and evaluating cars. The competition took place at The Orchard School in Canterbury, so our team of budding creators and engineers travelled there to take part. Once we had the brief, the students looked at which materials and designs worked best, before each coming up with their own vehicle ideas. The children were enthusiastic in their endeavours, discussing their creations and how they could make improvements and adaptations to help their cars travel even further. It was a thoroughly enjoyable event and our team of students demonstrated impeccable behaviour and sportsmanship throughout. It was therefore the icing on the cake when one of our cars went on to win the prize for the best design! Congratulations to all our Nova Class children who participated – the future of car design is in good hands!
