On the first Friday of term Phase 1 had an immersion afternoon for this term’s theme of ‘Let’s go on an adventure’. It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to explore different activities related to the theme as well as make choices related to their preferred learning styles and spend time with different groups of students. Every member of Phase 1 was able to access this engaging afternoon and it was wonderful to see pupils (and staff!) fully immerse themselves in this new addition to our curriculum plan.
Activities included sensory food tables, a continental cafe, an arctic themed messy play, We’re going on a bear hunt, sensory story themed activities and masks to decorate for different creatures we might find on adventures. We look forward to this being a termly activity to introduce each term’s theme.
