On Wednesday 24th January, Milestone@DPA took a trip to Crayford to visit the Masjid Abu Bakar Mosque. The three classes travelled to Crayford via public transport and all demonstrated fantastic speaking and listening skills, and thoroughly enjoyed experiencing the local transport. During the visit to the Mosque, the children were able to listen to a member of the local Muslim community talk informatively about the Islamic religion. The children also listened to the call to prayer, observed a prayer taking place and were able to see a copy of the Qur’an. The children all demonstrated their understanding of the fundamental British values on the visit, showing their respect for different faiths and beliefs and displaying exemplary behaviour whilst in this place of worship.
